Location: Kingsford, Michigan

BLDI developed the grant application for the City of Kingsford to the State of Michigan to develop environmental data to develop a large brownfield area. The sporadic presence and lack of definition of the methane gas in this area of the city complicated development plans.

BLDI conducted an extensive hydrogeological investigation to define the area impacted by the methane gas and the associated concentrations. BLDI defined the area of methane impact and the associated concentrations and migrations pathways.

BLDI developed standard methane mitigation methods for proposed construction in this area.
