Joseph W. Berlin, PE, CFE, President

Mr. Berlin founded the company in 1991 with a focus on providing honest opinions on environmental conditions. He has a BS from Michigan State University in Civil Engineering, a MS from Montana State University in Civil Engineering, and a MBA from Grand Valley State University.

Mr. Berlin is a licensed professional engineer in four states who has led project teams for projects in nine states and provinces. He is a certified forensic engineer and has provided expert opinions for cases in six states and also is a Michigan Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional (CP).

Joseph J. Mark, RG, CPG, CP, Principal

Mr. Mark has a BS from Grand Valley State University in Geology and completed graduate coursework at Western Michigan University in Geology. He is an AIPG certified professional geologist and a licensed registered geologist in Missouri who has completed projects in 7 states. Mr. Mark also has earned a Master in Management from Aquinas College and is a Michigan CP.

Richard N. Spehar, PE, CP, Principal

Mr. Spehar has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technology University and is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan. Mr. Spehar has project experience in ten states and is a Michigan CP.

John M. Michalec, Business Development

Mr. Michalec has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Mr. Michalec has extensive experience in using his technical expertise to help customers solve problems throughout many industries.
